Silverdale Turkey Trot 2021

Silverdale Turkey Trot 2021

Who is ready for some inclusion friendly wooded/trail Thanksgiving Day racing?

Registration is open!

Riders: Please email us (westsound@ainsleysangels.org) with your name and birthday if you’ll be attending and what distance you want to roll in. We can only guarantee the 5k distance until we see how many runners are able to run the 10k and then we will see how many 10k teams we can manage.

Runners: Register as normal through the link below and email us (westsound@ainsleysangels.org) to let us know you’ll be attending and what distance.

Everyone. LET’S ROLL!!

Exact race times are still TBD but the everything should be complete no later than 1100.  Estimated start times:

Kids Dash – 0800
10K – 0830
5k – 0900
1 Miler – 0900

The race will be at Newberry Hill Heritage Park.  The park surrounds Klahowya Secondary School and offers a scenic 2.7 mile loop fire road which will offer a great course for our 5K (1 Lap) and 10K (2 Lap) events.  Enter off Newberry Hill Road into the Klahowya Secondary School parking lot. Staging, registration, and kids’ dashes will occur on the school property.

Course Map

The Silverdale Rotary Turkey Trot is still in planning but we are confirmed to be able to roll!  What we know (tentatively) is below.  As more information is available we will update the event.  But save the date for a Thanksgiving Day roll with the wind!

“This year the event will move to shared space between Klahowya Secondary School and the Newbury Hill Heritage Park. While the course design is still being defined, the goal will be to run the 5K (and maybe a 10k!) along the Old Loop Road inside the Heritage Park.  This is a packed dirt and gravel road which will take the race off of a hard concrete surface and into the woods!  Klahowya will be used for parking, race check-in, staging, and possibly some of the shorter events.”
